1Application Purpose & Overview

This Privacy Policy specifically governs the operation of Screen Cast: Mirror to TV & PC (Package: com.pavankumar.screencast), authored and published by Pavankumar Kokane on the Google Play Store.

Screen Cast: Mirror to TV & PC facilitates local wireless screen mirroring from your Android device to compatible Smart TVs, PCs, and streaming receivers over your local Wi-Fi network.

2Data Collection & Handling Disclosures

In strict compliance with Google Play User Data policies, below is the transparent breakdown of data handling for Screen Cast: Mirror to TV & PC:

Personal Information

Not Collected / Stored

No name, email, phone number, credentials, or personal accounts are ever collected or required.

Screen Display Stream

Not Collected / Stored

Screen mirroring video and audio streams are broadcast directly peer-to-peer on your private Local Area Network (LAN). No video, audio, or screen capture content is ever transmitted to, stored on, or inspected by external servers.

Network & Device Identifiers

Not Collected / Stored

Wi-Fi SSID and local IP addresses are evaluated transiently strictly within memory on your device to discover local Miracast/DLNA/Chromecast receivers. This data never leaves your device.

3Android Device Permissions & Usage

Screen Cast: Mirror to TV & PC only requests system permissions strictly required for its stated features. No secondary or hidden data aggregation occurs:

FOREGROUND_SERVICE & MEDIA_PROJECTION— System Screen Capture

Required by the Android OS to capture the display buffer in real-time when you start mirroring. An explicit system prompt always asks for your confirmation before capturing begins, and an ongoing notification is displayed while casting is active. The stream is sent solely to your chosen local TV/PC receiver.

ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE & ACCESS_WIFI_STATE— Local Wi-Fi Network Discovery

Used solely to verify that your smartphone is connected to a local Wi-Fi network and to discover nearby casting receivers (Smart TVs, DLNA devices, or browser endpoints) within the same subnet.

INTERNET— Local Socket Connection & HTTP Streaming

Enables the embedded local HTTP/WebSocket server so a PC or TV browser on the same Wi-Fi can receive your mirrored screen. It is also used by Google Play Services for in-app licensing checks.

RECORD_AUDIO (Optional)— Internal Audio Transmission

Permits routing device audio to your external screen or TV speakers during video playback, governed by Android MediaProjection security controls.

POST_NOTIFICATIONS— Active Cast Status Indicator

Displays an ongoing foreground notification while screen mirroring is active, allowing you to instantly pause or terminate the mirroring session at any time.

4Local Storage & Network Architecture

Local Storage Handling

Screen Cast stores no mirrored video, screenshots, or logs on external servers. Local app preferences (such as preferred resolution or last selected audio source) are stored exclusively in private on-device SharedPreferences.

Network Behavior

100% peer-to-peer local streaming over your private Wi-Fi network. No video or audio feed is ever routed through external cloud infrastructure.

5Third-Party Libraries & Google Play Services

The app uses official Android Jetpack and Google Play libraries for in-app updates and runtime performance. These libraries do not transmit sensitive personal data to unauthorized third parties and operate under Google's standard terms:

6Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Screen Cast: Mirror to TV & PC does not knowingly target, collect, or solicit personal data from children under the age of 13. Since no personal information is collected by our systems, children's usage remains completely anonymous and private.
